Cosmetic-tipped cotton buds
Cosmetic buds have a pointed tip, and either a standard head. The standard head can be used, for example, to apply or adjust eye makeup. Then the pointed tip can be used to precisely define the eyes. The pointed tip is also well-suited to finely outline lips, and also to correct the edges of nail varnish. Disposable cosmetic buds keep personal hygiene at a high level, without any risk of cross contamination.
We produce Cosmetic-tipped cotton buds with wood sticks - white birch, paper sticks - white paper or with coloured imprint, and polypropylene (PP) sticks in many colours and we offer different kinds of packaging.

Recommendations
Cosmetic tipped cotton buds for make-up application and cleaning use can be produced with different stick material, i.e. wood, paper and plastic. It is important in thinking the degree of rigidity, form of the tip and how the sticks should be disposed of.In case a very rigid stick is required you should choose cosmetic buds with a wooden stick with a size of 72x2.5 mm. Most common wood material is white birch wood. In application of a cotton bud with wooden sticks one should control the stick in order to check for splinters. We in our production take care to use splinter free sticks and have increased the diameter of the stick from 2.2mm to 2.5mm, this giving an even stronger stick. It is advisable to check for roundness of the sticks also. This gives the consumer a quick overview that the production process is much more controlled, and the sticks are produced on more advanced machines, thus they should be more hygienic, and the wood used is from virgin wooden logs.
The rigidity of this stick allows you better control of the pointed tip, and it is thus easier to clean an area where more force is to be applied. When cosmetic buds are produced from wooden sticks glue is applied in order to attach the cotton tip to the stick. This process always gives a better tip in that it is much more difficult to detach the cotton from the stick..
The medium rigidity stick is a cosmetic bud with a paper stick with a size of 72x2.5 mm. Paper sticks are produced with virgin paper material, giving the sticks a clean and relatively strong stick. Although it should be noted that in the production process of paper a lot of water is used, and it does give an environmental burden.
When cosmetic buds are produced from paper sticks glue is applied in order to attach the cotton tip to the stick. This process always gives a better tip in that it is much more difficult to detach the cotton from the stick.
The lowest rigidity stick is a cosmetic cotton bud with a plastic stick with a size of 72x2.5 mm. Plastic sticks are produced when plastic is extruded on machines. As sticks can be extruded with different wall thickness it is recommended that you check sticks to see how easily they can bend, too easily bendable sticks often bend without returning to its original position. Therefore we cannot recommend the use of sticks with less than 170kg/mil for this application. Although environmentally these buds could be separated and recycled in a theoretical manner, this is often not done, therefore it is quite difficult to bio-degrade these sticks.
When cosmetic cotton buds are produced from plastic sticks, heat is applied at the tips in order to attach the cotton tip to the stick. This process always gives a weaker tip in that it is easier to detach the cotton from the stick.
When choosing the correct head shape, it is important to note that the tip of the bud sticks should be pointed in order to apply make-up in a specific point, or to remove nail varnish from incorrect areas.
Although these sticks can be produced with one pointed tip and one normal tip, we recommend one pointed and one flat tip, as these allow easier removal of make-up in larger areas, and could be used to apply make-up as well. As they can be disposed of after one time use, cross-contamination of teenage make-up use is avoided.
Although paper and wooden sticks are bio-degradable and could be disposed of in toilets, the amount of sticks being disposed off in this manner is extremely large and it is strongly recommended to dispose of properly. Water works spend a lot of energy and time in removing these from their system.
Cosmetic cotton buds are produced in order to be used for cosmetic and cleaning purposes, however, if the normal tip is used for cleaning the ear, care should be shown not to insert into the inner ear canal, this could damage the inner ear canal. The pointed tip should not be used for such application. Some of the natural ear wax in this canal is there for protection and should not to be removed.
